In this article, I want to talk about the OptionRoom project and note what I liked about the project.
- What is OptionRoom?
First of all, I want to mention what I like. I really liked the 2-token model. I have seen many protocols where the token was both a subject of speculation and a means of control. I don’t think it benefits the project. It is much more reasonable to use the model that is presented in the OptionRoom project. For speculation and trading, there is a token — ROOM, which in turn you stake and get a reward token COURT, which in turn can already make decisions by voting. Thus, the speculative component and the desire to develop the project do not overlap, and therefore an excellent result and an excellent community interested in long-term development are obtained.
2. What are the advantages over competitors?
It is the fact that the project is built on Polkadot that distinguishes it from the current competitors working on the Ethereum network. Low commissions and only a close-knit community that is gaining crazy momentum-favorably distinguish OptionRoom and Polkadot as a whole.
Well, as you already understood, another important feature of the project is OAAs (Oracle as a Service). This is the real decentalization. Anyone can create a request to the oracle, and other network users who stake COURT token can participate in solving this request.
3. What else?
In general, 2021 seems to me to be the year of the heyday of options in the crypto industry. Until now, this tool is not yet widely represented on the market and is currently only getting its development. Just look at how popular futures have become. It is also not an unimportant factor that decentralized finance is becoming more and more relevant for people. The demand for decentralized financial instruments is only growing and will continue to grow, outpacing the market.
Look at the chart of locked USD in the DeFi ecosystem and you will immediately understand everything. At the moment, more than $ 27 billion.
